Violet Paek is a children’s book illustrator, ceramic artist, and art teacher based in New York City. She grew up in Korea and moved to NYC in 2012 to pursue her dream of creating art and sharing it with young learners. Her work is playful and heartfelt, often inspired by Korean traditions and everyday joys. With over seven years of experience teaching in Harlem and the Bronx, Violet designs lessons that spark imagination and celebrate each child’s voice. Violet and her students fill their art room with playful flowers that speak and clouds that dance. She lives in Astoria with her husband Evan and their cat, Baru.
